Who we are:
The Golden Bear Cadet Council is located in California’s Central Valley, with clubs in Ripon, Modesto, Escalon, and Oakdale serving the surrounding areas. We are a group of Christian men, part of the Calvinist Cadet Corps, and use a structured program in many ways similar to Scouting, to work with boys aged 7 and up and to help them develop in all the areas of their life: spiritually, socially, mentally and physically. The Council provides support for these clubs and their leaders, and provides a way to share resources and activities to enhance the ministry of the clubs. We use Bible study, merit badges, structured meetings, woodworking, camping, community service, and other activities as a means to help the boys develop skills and grow in these areas. We encourage interaction and participation from families as we seek to make this a fun but enriching time for the boys.
